Our gold and rhodium plated brass pieces are more durable than regular costume jewellery, but they’re not made for constant, everyday wear. With proper care, your pieces will stay shiny and stunning for years.

If you’re after something more low maintenance for daily wear, we recommend our solid sterling silver or gold vermeil options.

Water from hand washing or the occasional shower won’t cause rust or greening, but remember, these aren’t solid gold pieces, so avoid getting them wet too often. Salt water, chlorine, and harsh products (like soap, hairspray, perfume, and moisturiser) can wear down the plating and will void your warranty.

To keep your pieces looking their best, avoid storing them in fabric lined jewellery boxes (these can release gases that react with metals). Instead, use the BLINGZ microfibre pouch, a zip lock bag, or any airtight container. And never store your jewellery in humid areas like the bathroom.

Our Metals

Gold Vermeil / Rhodium Plated Sterling Silver
We use a thick layer of 14k or 18k gold (2.5-3 microns) over solid 925 sterling silver. Rhodium pieces are plated with 0.3 microns and topped with an anti-tarnish E-Coating for added durability. These are nickel-free and hypoallergenic. Perfect for sensitive skin.
